Cetra Health: Our journey so far!

A lot has happened since we first came up with the idea for Cetra Health, but we’d like to take you back to the beginning and share the story behind our brand. 

You may have heard of AnatomyStuff, but what you might not know is AnatomyStuff is Cetra’s sister brand! AnatomyStuff, was created back in 1999 by Clare King and Richard Klin. Since then, it has grown into a trusted provider of medical and veterinary education tools, supporting organisations ranging from schools and universities to care homes and the NHS. 

Over the years, AnatomyStuff has built strong partnerships with leading global brands, becoming the exclusive UK distributor for big brands such as SynDaver, Realityworks, and Granville Biomedical. Alongside these, the company also produces its own unique range of anatomy posters, anatomy models, and training resources, designed to make learning both accurate and accessible.

How our journey with AnatomyStuff inspired a new digital tool for MSK care 

Over the past 25 years, AnatomyStuff has given us deep insight and allowed us to build strong connections within the MSK community. By engaging with our customers and attending MSK conferences such as the Therapy Expo year after year, we’ve had the opportunity to understand the challenges professionals face on a daily basis. 

It was during one of these events, while representing AnatomyStuff, that a recurring problem came to light: patient education resources were either unreliable or simply unavailable. Many clinicians explained that they were left to design their own materials or point patients towards the internet, where information was often inaccurate or overwhelming. This not only ate into consultation time but also risked leaving patients confused and under-informed. 

That moment sparked an idea. With our background and expertise, why couldn’t we develop a trusted, digital resource that delivers accurate, easy-to-understand information, designed specifically for MSK care? 

This was the starting point for Cetra Health. 

Medically accurate patient resources, reviewed by experts 

When creating Cetra Health, one of our top priorities was ensuring medical accuracy. We’d heard time and again from MSK professionals that reliable patient resources were hard to come by. Many were forced to put together their own materials or, worse, direct patients to search online, where information is often unverified and potentially misleading. 

To address this, we built a system that guarantees every handout on Cetra is either authored or peer-reviewed by qualified MSK specialists before being published. This process ensures that all content is clinically sound, written in plain language, and regularly updated in line with best practice. The result? You can feel confident knowing that the resources you provide are both trustworthy and easy for patients to understand, supporting better communication, compliance, and outcomes. 

We’ve carefully selected a team of MSK experts to develop and refine our library of content, while also sharing their insight and experience with us. Our contributors include physiotherapists, lecturers, and osteopaths, covering a wide range of specialisms such as neurology, rehabilitation, occupational health, rheumatology, and obstetrics & gynaecology.
